Questions & answers

Tree trimming & removal FAQs

It depends on the species — many trees are best pruned in the dormant season, while others tolerate summer shaping well. That's exactly why an ISA Certified Arborist looks first: you get a recommendation for each tree, not a one-size-fits-all trim. The assessment is free, and we'll schedule the work for the window that's healthiest for the tree.

Often, yes. Many "dying" trees are actually stressed — compacted soil, poor watering, or old pruning wounds — and respond well to corrective pruning and soil care. Our arborist will tell you honestly which it is. And if a tree has become structurally unsound, we'll say that plainly too, because guessing wrong isn't worth it.

Yes — we grind stumps below grade, remove the grindings if you'd like, and prep the spot so it can be replanted, re-sodded, or folded into a new bed design. If the stump is part of a bigger landscape plan, we can quote the whole transformation at once.

Fully — we're licensed and carry insurance that specifically covers tree work, including removals near homes and structures. We're happy to show proof of coverage before the work is scheduled. Never let an uninsured crew put a rope in a tree over your roof.
