Questions & answers

Hardscaping & patio FAQs

Not when it's built right. Settling comes from a rushed base — that's why we excavate to full depth, compact the base in lifts, and follow ICPI installation standards on every project. Drainage is planned before the first paver is set, so water never undermines the work. It's slower and it costs more to do — and it's the reason our patios look the same in year ten as they did on day one.

Most paver patios run one to two weeks on site, and larger outdoor-living projects — kitchens, walls, multi-level spaces — two to six weeks. Your written quote includes the timeline before we start, and you'll know exactly what's happening in your yard each phase of the build.

Most patios land between $5,000 and $25,000 depending on size, materials, and site access; full outdoor-living builds with kitchens and walls run higher. You'll see exactly where every dollar goes — our quotes are itemized and the price you approve is the price you pay. Flexible financing is available for larger projects.

Yes — retaining walls, seating walls, steps, and walkways. Walls are built for the slope they hold: proper footing, drainage stone behind the wall, and compacted backfill. A wall that fails is almost always a wall that skipped its drainage, so ours never do.
